The final score was the Philadelphia Freedom 4, the Oklahoma Missilemen 3. Philadelphia scored all of the necessary runs in the 4th inning as they scored 4 runs on 4 base hits. The key at-bat was by Kerry Carpenter who deflated the spirits of the home town crowd when he tripled which was good for two runs. Oklahoma threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short. Grayson Rodriguez(7-8) got the win allowing 2 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings. Rodriguez got relief help from Porter Hodge who gained credit for his 16th save. Sonny Gray(6-12) took the loss. Despite losing Brian Tomkowicz was optimistic after the game. 'We'll get over this one. Sometimes the breaks fall your way, sometimes they don't. Any one of a dozen little things go different, and we come out on top.' Place. Neto had a great day at the plate. He had the crowd cheering his every move. He hit a bases-empty home run in the 2nd inning, ripped a single bringing in a run in the 3rd inning and launched a Grand Slam homerun in the 5th inning. Vancouver out-hit Seattle for the game, 13 hits to 7. Spencer Schwellenbach(14-8) picked up the victory, allowing 4 runs in 8 innings. Cristopher Sanchez(1-3) suffered the loss. By surrending 5 runs in 3 and 1/3 innings his ERA jumped from 3.60 to 5.40. 'I've spent a lot of time in the cage and made some adjustments and they've paid off,' Neto said. 'I just take the same approach up there. I don't overanalyze it. I go up there, see the ball and try to put a good swing on it.' Gotham was unable to recover after Massachusetts went ahead in the 3rd inning scoring 2 runs on 2 base hits. Jeremy Pena led off and started the attack as he delivered a one-base hit. Patrick Bailey stepped up to the plate and he drew a walk. Brenton Doyle got his turn next, but he was a strikeout victim. One out later, Ryan Mountcastle came to bat and lined a base-hit knocking home two runners. Massachusetts managed 9 hits in their victory. Brady Singer(11-9) went 5 and 2/3 innings allowing 2 runs for the victory. Emmanuel Clase recorded his 39th save. Carlos Rodon(5-9) was the loser. He pitched 7 innings allowing 8 hits and 2 walks. Tovar enjoyed a great day at the plate. He doubled which plated a run in the 3rd inning, hit a 'grand salami' to the delight of his teammates in the 6th inning and delivered a solo blast in the 8th inning. Delaware lit up the scoreboard in the 6th inning which saw them plate 7 runs on 5 hits. Delaware kept the pressure on throughout the contest as they scored in 6 different innings. The victory went to Brown(9-6) who went 8 innings, allowing 2 runs. Joey Estes(5-14) was charged with the loss. He served up 3 gopher balls in 5 innings. Brown was jubilant in the hometown clubhouse, 'It was a lot of fun out there. The fans gave me a lot of support as did my teammates. We got the victory and I'll sure take 11 strikeouts anytime!'

Nashville had 13 hits for the afternoon while Tampa Bay had 4. The loss was charged to Clarke Schmidt(5-14). He got hit pretty hard, allowing 12 hits and 2 walks in 7 innings. Christian Yelich came next and he doubled. Ketel Marte then smashed a two-run homer. Las Vegas had a total of 9 hits for the game. The winning pitcher was Jose Ferrer(4-3) who allowed no runs in 1/3 of an inning. Ferrer got help from Edwin Uceta who was credited with his 31st save. Scott Alexander(5-3) was the losing pitcher in relief. Las Vegas scored big getting 3 runs off him in 2 innings. Zach Lancia was all smiles after the game, 'To pull a game out in your last at bats, is a beautiful feeling - and did you see how quiet it got out there? You could have heard a pin drop when we took the lead. But, hey, that's what makes baseball so great - as the great sage Yogi Berra says, 'it's not over 'til its over.'
