The Oyster Bay Tomcats nipped the Seattle Jets in 10 innings 8 to 7 at Forbes
Field in a hard fought contest.
 
Both teams had scored 7 runs after nine full innings.  Oyster Bay won the game
in the 10th inning.  After an out was recorded, Gabriel Moreno laced a single
resulting in an exciting win for Oyster Bay and a wild post-game celebration
by the home town fans.  The score went back-and-forth with the lead changing
6 times.  
 
Jake Junis(3-2) went 1 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the win. Bryan
Hoeing(4-3) was the losing pitcher in relief.  He was a hard-luck loser as he
did not allow an earned run in his 2 and 1/3 innings of work.  
 
 
ATLANTIC CITY(36-38) AT LAS VEGAS(35-34)

Left fielder Seiya Suzuki smacked 2 homeruns and had 7 RBI as the Atlantic
City Surf clobbered the outmatched Las Vegas Aces, 14 to 3.
 
Suzuki was in a groove all evening.  The Las Vegas fans hated to see him
approaching the batter's box.  He lifted one out of the park for a two run
home run in the 2nd inning, launched a three-run homer in the 7th inning and
laced a base-knock scoring two baserunners in the 8th inning.  Atlantic City
ended up with 16 hits for the game while Las Vegas had 8.  
 
The victory was credited to Aaron Nola(4-4) who went 5 innings, allowing 3
runs. Ranger Suarez(2-8) suffered the loss.  With this win, Atlantic City has
a 36-38 record.  They have been 7-3 lately.  With the loss Las Vegas now has
a record of 35-34.
 
TAMPA BAY(38-32) AT VANCOUVER(40-33)

Cole Ragans mowed down 11 Vancouver batters as the Tampa Bay Firestorm bested
the Vancouver Flames 5 to 1 at B.C. Place.
 
Ragans(8-5) pitched a solid game.  He gave up just 5 hits and 4 walks in 8
innings reducing his ERA from 4.53 to 4.26.  Tampa Bay managed 8 hits in
their victory.  
 
Spencer Schwellenbach(7-3) was given the loss.  Mark Lancia was impressed with
Ragans and his 11 strikeouts.  'It's tough to generate runs if you can't make
contact with the ball.'
 
PHILADELPHIA(34-38) AT DELAWARE(37-38)

In a thrilling finish the Delaware Devils won in dramatic fashion coming back
to beat the Philadelphia Freedom by the count of 5 to 3.
 
Delaware had the winning rally in the bottom of the 9th inning when they
scored 4 runs on 2 hits.  The biggest moment was provided by Eugenio Suarez
who brought the crowd to their feet when he clubbed a three-run home run.
The game was a scoreless duel until the 8th inning.  
 
Ryan Walker(4-4) went 1 inning allowing 3 runs for the victory. The losing
pitcher was Porter Hodge(3-2) in relief.  He gave up 3 runs and 1 hit without
retiring a batter.  
 
The Delaware ballclub's record now stands at 37-38. With the loss,
Philadelphia has a record of 4-6 lately, 34-38 overall.
 
MASSACHUSETTS(33-36) AT OKLAHOMA(26-45)

Second baseman Jazz Chisholm knocked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the
Massachusetts Mayhem defeated the struggling Oklahoma Missilemen 7 to 4 at
Target Field.
 
Chisholm had a big day with his bat.  He delivered a one-base hit which scored
a run in the 1st inning, cracked a solo homerun in the 4th inning and
delivered a solo blast in the 5th inning.  Massachusetts finished with 11
hits while Oklahoma ended up with 6.  
 
Logan Gilbert(5-8) picked up the victory, allowing 4 runs in 6 and 2/3
innings. Emmanuel Clase earned the save, his 17th.  Corbin Burnes(4-13) was
tagged with the loss.  He allowed 3 homeruns in 4 and 2/3 innings of work.
 
 
LOS ANGELES(44-29) AT GOTHAM(44-28)

Right fielder Kyle Tucker smashed 2 homeruns at Arkham Stadium where the
Gotham Knights beat the Los Angeles Lycans 8 to 5.
 
Gotham scored the decisive runs in a big 8th inning when they tallied 5 runs
on 4 hits.  The crucial at-bat was provided by Matt Chapman who made the
Gotham fans a happy lot when he hit a 'grand salami' to the delight of his
teammates.  Both teams ended up with 8 hits on the afternoon.  
 
The win went to Manuel Rodriguez(5-1) who allowed 1 run in 2 and 2/3 innings.
Rodriguez got help from Griffin Jax who was credited with his 20th save.
J.T. Chargois(1-1) was hit with the loss in relief.  He allowed 3 runs and 2
hits without retiring a batter.  
 
 
NASHVILLE(34-38) AT DAYTON(33-40)

Second baseman Jonathan India left the yard and had 3 RBI at Grit Park as the
Nashville Classics beat the Dayton Grits 9 to 5.
 
India enjoyed a fine day at the plate.  He doubled scoring a run in the 2nd
inning, cleared the fences for a two-run home run in the 4th inning and
slapped a base-hit in the 8th inning.  Nashville totaled 12 hits on the
afternoon.  
 
Ryan Thompson(3-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 inning and allowing
1 run. Jeff Hoffman got the save, his 2nd.  Kyle Leahy(4-4) was the loser in
relief.  
 
Wth the win Nashville now has a record of 34-38.  With the loss, the Dayton
ballclub's record is 33-40.
