The Las Vegas Aces and the Los Angeles Lycans locked up in an exciting one-run
game at MGM Grand Field.  The final score was the Las Vegas Aces 5, the Los
Angeles Lycans 4.
 
Las Vegas came up with 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning when they had 3
base hits.  After an out was recorded, Shea Langeliers got things going when
he doubled.  Elly De La Cruz stepped up next and he bombed a two-run dinger.
Edwin Uceta, after tossing a perfect ninth, was credited with his 15th save.
 
Bryse Wilson(2-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 and 1/3 innings and
allowing 1 run. Edward Cabrera(4-7) took the loss.  Despite the loss, he
struckout 10 Las Vegas batters in 6 and 2/3 innings.  
 
Wth the win Las Vegas now has a record of 35-31.  With this loss, Los Angeles
has a 6-4 record of late, 43-27 overall.

51,335 fans watched an exciting game at Grit Park.  The Dayton Grits topped
the Oklahoma Missilemen by the slimmest of margins, 7 to 6.
 
Dayton had 3 runs cross the plate in the 7th inning when they came up with 3
base hits.  The biggest moment was provided by David Peralta who came through
for the home fans when he lofted a three-run bomb.  Dayton had a total of 7
hits for the game.  
 
Alex Vesia(1-2) went 2 and 2/3 innings allowing no runs for the win. Vesia got
help from Carlos Estevez who was credited with his 19th save.  Tayler
Scott(4-6) was the loser in relief.  
 
 
PHILADELPHIA(34-35) AT ATLANTIC CITY(33-38)

In a close game the Philadelphia Freedom got by the Atlantic City Surf in 10
innings by the score of 4 to 2.
 
The score was knotted at 2 after nine innings.  Finally, Philadelphia pulled
the game out in the 10th inning.  Shohei Ohtani jump-started the rally as he
stroked a single.  Ohtani was safe on a stolen base.  Trevor Megill then
threw a wild pitch resulting in a run.  After an out was recorded, Vladimir
Guerrero Jr stepped up to the plate and he lined a one-base hit scoring the
final run of the inning.  Philadelphia had 9 hits for the game and Atlantic
City had 6.  
 
The victory went to Kenley Jansen(5-2) who went 2 and 2/3 innings, allowing no
runs. The loss was charged to Megill(3-2) in relief.  He allowed 2 hits and
no walks in 1/3 of an inning.
 
SEATTLE(39-29) AT TAMPA BAY(35-32)

Tarik Skubal whiffed 10 batters as the Tampa Bay Firestorm beat the Seattle
Jets by a score of 5 to 2.
 
Skubal(7-4) looked very much in control throughout the night.  He didn't allow
much, just 5 hits and no walks in 8 innings.  Tampa Bay ended up with 8 hits
for the game while Seattle had 5.  
 
Skubal got relief help from Mason Miller who gained credit for his 14th save.
Grayson Rodriguez(3-5) absorbed the loss.  He surrendered 3 runs and 4 hits
in 5 and 1/3 innings.  
 
Skubal was jubilant in the hometown clubhouse, 'It was a lot of fun out there.
The fans gave me a lot of support as did my teammates.  We got the victory
and I'll sure take 10 strikeouts anytime!'
 
OYSTER BAY(28-43) AT DELAWARE(35-37)

In a tight game it was the Oyster Bay Tomcats 5, the Delaware Devils 3 at Bay
Park.
 
Oyster Bay scored 4 runs in the 3rd inning.  That was all the runs Ryan
Weathers(3-6) needed.  Jake Junis was perfect in the ninth giving him his 9th
save on the season.  
 
The losing pitcher was Hunter Brown(4-4).  He gave up 3 hits and 8 walks in 6
and 1/3 innings.
 
MASSACHUSETTS(30-36) AT GOTHAM(42-27)

One run was the difference at Arkham Stadium as the Gotham Knights defeated
the Massachusetts Mayhem 2 to 1.
 
Gotham won the game with a rally in the 8th inning plating 2 runs on 2 base
hits.  Matt Chapman was the sparkplug when he ripped a solo home run.  Dansby
Swanson struck out, unable to help the rally.  Brice Turang then drew a walk.
Turang took second on a stolen base.  Joc Pederson stepped into the box and
singled scoring the final run of the inning.  Both teams ended up with 5 hits
on the night.  
 
Manuel Rodriguez(4-1) went 2 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Griffin
Jax recorded his 19th save.  Edwin Diaz(1-5) was hit with the loss in relief.

The Nashville Classics nipped the Vancouver Flames 3 to 2 at Fed Ex Field in a
hard fought contest.
 
Vancouver lost it in the 8th inning when Nashville did all their damage
scoring 3 runs using 4 hits.  After an out was recorded, James Wood opened up
the rally as he slapped a base-hit.  Francisco Lindor was next and he lifted
one out of the park for a two run home run.  One out later, Juan Yepez then
doubled.  Spencer Steer followed next and he lined a single.  Hunter Gaddis
then bounced one in the dirt for a wild pitch scoring the final run of the
inning.  Nashville managed 8 hits in their victory.  
 
Jake Cousins(6-7) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 inning. Jason Adam
recorded the save, his 14th.  Bryan Hudson(0-2) was tagged with the loss in
relief.
