Blake Snell dominated striking out 13 Dayton batters as the Las Vegas Aces
outscored the struggling Dayton Grits 5 to 1.
 
Snell(3-0) had a strong outing.  He gave up just 3 hits and 1 walk in 7
innings lowering his ERA to 2.16.  For the game Las Vegas out-hit Dayton 13
to 3.  
 
Zach Eflin(1-3) was charged with the loss.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing
11 hits and 2 walks in 6 innings.  'I had my good stuff tonight.' Snell said.
'As the game went along I started to get the feeling that I was going to
strike out a bunch of hitters.'
 
OKLAHOMA(10-13) AT GOTHAM(13-10)

Chris Sale reeled off a total of 11 strikeouts and right fielder Kyle Tucker
went deep as the Gotham Knights defeated the Oklahoma Missilemen by a score
of 4 to 3 at Arkham Stadium.
 
Sale(5-0) pitched a solid game.  He was reached for 6 hits and 2 walks in 7
innings.  Gotham had 10 hits for the game and Oklahoma had 6.  
 
Sale got relief help from Kevin Kelly who gained credit for his 1st save.  Ben
Joyce(2-1) absorbed the loss in relief.  He allowed 1 run and 1 hit in 2 and
1/3 innings.  
 
Everyone seemed to enjoy the performance of Sale - except Oklahoma.  Brian
Tomkowicz lamented, 'He just was 'on' tonight.  He was keeping our guys off
balance all game.  A fine game by a good strikeout pitcher - makes it a fun
game for the hometown fans - unfortunately we were the visitors!'
 
TAMPA BAY(15-8) AT PHILADELPHIA(13-10)

Nolan Schanuel had 4 hits and 4 RBI at Freedom Park as the Tampa Bay Firestorm
beat the Philadelphia Freedom in 10 innings by the count of 9 to 6.
 
Both teams were tied at 6 runs apiece after nine innings.  Tampa Bay was
victorious in the 10th inning.  Sal Frelick initiated the scoring spurt when
he doubled plating a run.  Matt Wallner was next to the plate, but was
promptly struck out.  Schanuel then laced a single driving in another run.
Schanuel took second on the throw.  One out later, Victor Robles stepped in
and he was walked intentionally.  Yainer Diaz came to the plate and lashed a
one-base hit scoring the final run of the inning.  Philadelphia was out-hit
by Tampa Bay, 13 hits to 9.  
 
The victory was credited to Jeremiah Estrada(1-1) who went 3 innings, allowing
1 run. Mason Miller got the save, his 4th.  Carmen Mlodzinski(2-2) was the
losing pitcher in relief.  Despite the loss, he struckout 5 Tampa Bay batters
in 2 and 2/3 innings.  
 
 
DELAWARE(7-17) AT OYSTER BAY(13-11)

Pavin Smith ripped 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI at Forbes Field as the Oyster Bay
Tomcats beat the ice-cold Delaware Devils 10 to 4.
 
The Oyster Bay fans enjoyed the offense provided by Smith.  He bombed a
two-run dinger in the 3rd inning and smashed a two-run homer in the 6th
inning.  Oyster Bay ended up with 14 hits for the game while Delaware had 9.
 
The victory went to Luis Ortiz(4-1) who went 8 innings, allowing 4 runs. Logan
Webb(0-6) was hit with the loss.  He was unable to control the Oyster Bay
offense and allowed 8 hits and 4 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.  
 
 
MASSACHUSETTS(11-11) AT ATLANTIC CITY(12-11)

In a close game the Massachusetts Mayhem got by the Atlantic City Surf by the
score of 8 to 6.
 
Massachusetts set the tone of the game in the first inning when they scored 3
runs on 3 hits.  The Atlantic City offense proved no trouble in the bottom of
the 9th.  
 
Zac Gallen(1-0) went 5 and 2/3 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory.
Emmanuel Clase was credited with his 8th save.  Dylan Cease(2-3) was the
loser.  He was knocked around by Massachusetts, allowing 7 hits and 3 walks
in 3 and 2/3 innings.  
 
The Massachusetts ballclub's record now stands at 11-11.  With the loss, the
Atlantic City ballclub's record is 12-11.
 
NASHVILLE(13-10) AT SEATTLE(14-9)

In a close game it was the Nashville Classics 8, the Seattle Jets 6 in 11
innings at Pilot Stadium.
 
The score was tied at 4 after nine.  Nashville ended up winning it in the 11th
inning.  The key at-bat was by Jacob Stallings who quieted the crowd when he
cracked a two-run shot.  Nashville managed 13 hits in their victory.  
 
Jake Cousins(3-2) got the win allowing no runs in 2 innings. Bryan Hoeing(1-1)
was tagged with the loss in relief.  He pitched 2/3 of an inning allowing 4
hits and 1 walk.
 
LOS ANGELES(12-11) AT VANCOUVER(10-13)

Tanner Bibee(3-1) and Bowden Francis(2-2) treated the Vancouver fans to a fine
pitching duel at B.C. Place.  The Los Angeles Lycans eventually emerged as
victors over the Vancouver Flames by the score of 1 to 0.
 
Vancouver pitcher Francis gave up the game's only run in the top of the 3rd
inning.  That early run support was all that Bibee required.  Vancouver tried
unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th.  
 
Joel Payamps earned his 2nd save.
