Lowe was a source of great heartache for the Oyster Bay faithful all evening. He just kept pounding out hits! He smashed a two-run homer in the 1st inning, launched a three-run homer in the 2nd inning and smacked a single in the 4th inning. Oyster Bay proved to be no trouble in the bottom of the 9th. Edward Cabrera(3-2) was the winner allowing 7 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings. Cabrera was helped out by Jesus Tinoco who recorded his 4th save. Ryan Weathers(1-3) absorbed the loss. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 1 and 2/3 innings of work. 'I had a little blister on my index finger before the game, but I thought it was nothing.' Cabrera said. 'I was lucky I got a win because I couldn't put the ball where I wanted it.' It was a good day for Dayton thanks to Reynolds. He laced a one-base hit bringing in two baserunners in the 6th inning and lost the ball over the fence for three runs in the 7th inning. Massachusetts made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs across. Kyle Leahy(1-3) got the win allowing 2 runs in 1 and 2/3 innings. Carlos Estevez earned his 6th save. Luke Weaver(2-1) suffered the loss in relief. He pitched 1 and 2/3 innings giving up 2 hits and 5 walks. Steve Nesbit was subdued after the ballgame, 'That one really hurts. If our guys had simply played more fundamentally sound, we could have won that one. That is what really ticks me off!' Yastrzemski made sure the Seattle fans enjoyed themselves. He hit a 'grand salami' to the delight of his teammates in the 3rd inning, doubled resulting in a run in the 6th inning and slapped a one-base hit in the 8th inning. Both teams totaled 5 hits on the night. Ryan Pepiot(3-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 innings and allowing no runs. Eli Morgan recorded the save, his 4th. Jose Soriano(0-4) was the losing pitcher. He surrendered 5 runs and 4 hits in 6 innings. With this win, Seattle has a division leading 16-9 record. They have been 6-4 lately. With the loss, the Delaware ballclub's record is 8-18, worst in the division. Vancouver jumped on top to stay in the bottom of the 7th inning with 2 runs utilizing 2 base hits. After an out was recorded, Jesus Sanchez was the sparkplug when he reached on an error. Alex Verdugo followed next and he delivered a single. Luis Arraez then banged out a single bringing in a run. Mauricio Dubon was up next and he hit a deep fly scoring the final run of the inning. Vancouver out-hit Tampa Bay for the game, 10 hits to 4. Skenes(3-3) went 8 innings allowing 2 runs for the win. Tarik Skubal(2-1) was charged with the loss. He struck out 10 batters in 6 and 1/3 innings despite losing the game. 'It's been a rough ride lately, but this was a good win for us' said Mark Lancia, 'Maybe this will put us back on track.' The Philadelphia fans enjoyed the offense provided by Kerry Carpenter. He doubled which was good for two runs in the 2nd inning and hit a bases-empty home run in the 6th inning. Philadelphia had many opportunities throughout the game and scored in 6 separate innings. The victory was credited to Fedde(2-1) who went 6 and 2/3 innings, allowing 1 run. Gerrit Cole(2-1) ended up with the loss. 'Everything felt great' Fedde said. 'I had a good fastball, I felt I could throw it by everybody tonight.' Las Vegas started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of the first when they scored 5 runs on 4 hits. The early run support proved sufficient for Michael King(2-3) and Las Vegas. That was all the run support King required. Las Vegas ended up with 10 hits for the game while Nashville had 4. Bryse Wilson recorded his 1st save. Nick Martinez(2-3) was the loser. He pitched 1 inning allowing 4 hits and 1 walk.
