Left fielder Juan Soto smashed 3 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Massachusetts
Mayhem topped the Philadelphia Freedom by a score of 8 to 6 at Freedom
Park.
 
Soto enjoyed a big evening at the plate.  He hit a bases-empty home run in the
1st inning, smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the 5th inning and blasted
a two-run home run in the 7th inning.  Massachusetts had many opportunities
throughout the game and scored in 6 separate innings.  
 
The win went to Yennier Cano(3-1) who allowed no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings.
Emmanuel Clase got the save, his 19th.  Carmen Mlodzinski(4-3) took the loss
in relief.  
 
Soto was in a good mood after the game, 'I'm just seeing and hitting the ball
real well now.  I made some adjustments last week and they are paying off.
That's what this game is about. making adjustments as the season goes along.'

Ryan Weathers(4-6), with relief help from Landon Knack, shut-down Oklahoma
while the Oyster Bay Tomcats scored 6 runs in an evening game at Target
Field.
 
Oyster Bay took the lead off Corbin Burnes in the first inning scoring 2 runs
utilizing 3 base hits.  Otto Lopez got things going when he banged out a
single.  After an out was recorded, Max Muncy came up and he slapped a
base-hit.  Pavin Smith then smacked a single resulting in a run.  Willy
Adames stepped in and he would ground out scoring the final run of the
inning.  That was all the runs Weathers needed.  The pitchers took over after
the 4th inning as neither team was able to score again.  
 
Burnes(4-14) was the loser.  He surrendered 6 runs and 9 hits in 8 innings.
 
LAS VEGAS(37-35) AT LOS ANGELES(45-31)

Elly De La Cruz jacked one out of the ballyard and had 5 RBI as the Las Vegas
Aces defeated the Los Angeles Lycans by the score of 8 to 5 at Hollywood
Park.
 
De La Cruz provided the offensive punch.  He doubled plating all three
baserunners in the 6th inning and smashed a two-run homer in the 8th inning.
Las Vegas had 12 hits for the afternoon while Los Angeles had 9.  
 
Yoshinobu Yamamoto(11-5) went 6 and 2/3 innings allowing 3 runs for the win.
Edwin Uceta earned the save, his 16th.  Tyler Glasnow(9-3) was the losing
pitcher.  While he was the losing pitcher, he still struck out 10 batters in
5 and 2/3 innings.  
 
 
DELAWARE(38-40) AT NASHVILLE(36-39)

Jason Adam was strong in relief for Nashville and Yandy Diaz touched them all
and had 2 RBI at Fed Ex Field where the Nashville Classics beat the Delaware
Devils by the score of 6 to 5.
 
Nashville went ahead for good in the 7th inning as they scored 2 runs on 3
base hits.  Delaware had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.  
 
The victory was credited to Jeff Hoffman(4-2) who went 1 and 1/3 innings,
allowing 1 run. Adam was credited with his 16th save.  The loss was charged
to Tommy Kahnle(2-2) in relief.  He pitched 2/3 of an inning allowing 2 hits
and no walks.
 
 
SEATTLE(41-33) AT DAYTON(35-41)

Alec Burleson hit a homerun and had 2 RBI as the Dayton Grits defeated the
Seattle Jets 5 to 3 at Grit Park.
 
Dayton started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of the
first when they scored 2 runs on 2 hits.  Dayton totaled 11 hits on the
night.  
 
The win was credited to Zach Eflin(6-6) who went 7 innings allowing 2 runs.
Carlos Estevez gained credit for his 21st save.  Seth Lugo(4-4) was hit with
the loss.  He gave up 4 runs and 6 hits in 4 and 1/3 innings.  
 
 
GOTHAM(47-28) AT VANCOUVER(41-35)

Matt Chapman touched them all and had 2 RBI and Yu Darvish didn't allow a hit
until the 7th inning as the Gotham Knights defeated the Vancouver Flames by a
score of 4 to 3 at B.C. Place.
 
Darvish(5-5) pitched a solid game.  He surrendered only 2 hits and 1 walk in 6
and 1/3 innings.  The right-handed Darvish lost a no-hitter when Ivan Herrera
singled with one out in the 7th inning.  Vancouver threatened in the 9th but
their rally came up short.  
 
Darvish got help from Griffin Jax who was credited with his 21st save.  Paul
Skenes(7-7) was given the loss.  'It was a tough one to lose' said Mark
Lancia 'We'll get them next time out.'
 
ATLANTIC CITY(38-39) AT TAMPA BAY(38-35)

Second baseman Jose Altuve had 3 base hits and 2 RBI as the Atlantic City Surf
topped the Tampa Bay Firestorm by a score of 7 to 6 at Inferno
Field.
 
Atlantic City took the lead for keeps in the 7th inning when they came up with
2 runs on 3 hits.  Tampa Bay tried unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th.
 
The victory went to Jorge Alcala(5-3) who went 1 inning, allowing 3 runs.
Kirby Yates preserved the game for Alcala, recording his his 26th save.
Bryan Woo(6-5) was given the loss.  Atlantic City knocked him around a bit,
as he gave up 7 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings.
